Search Investments Into a Company
View all Crunchbase Company & Investment Data endpoints →Retrieve documented investor-to-company investment relationships for one company rather than a list of funding rounds alone. The required company accepts a Crunchbase organization permalink, UUID or full crunchbase.com/organization/ link; stripe is the supplied default. Optional funding_round narrows the search to one round of that company by round permalink, UUID or full crunchbase.com/funding_round/ link. Optional round_type restricts results to a documented funding category, and lead_only accepts the string true for lead investments only or false. Optional page ranges from 1 through 100, with a documented default of 1. No interaction or precedence between funding_round and round_type is established. No live probe is available for this endpoint. The unverified documentation example shows count, current_page, items, next, per_page, previous and total_pages. Each investment item contains id, uuid, name, company, investor, funding_round, round_type, is_lead_investor, amount_invested, round_amount, announced_on, investor_type, diversity_spotlights and partners. The documented company and investor objects have id, image, link, name, type and uuid; funding_round has id, link, name, type and uuid. These nested identifiers are not always populated in the example. In the supplied sample, amount_invested, round_amount, announced_on, is_lead_investor, investor_type and diversity_spotlights are null, and partners is empty. Treat unknown lead flags as unknown, not false. Do not infer per-investor contribution amounts, complete partner metadata or a complete investment history from the example. Preserve funding-round identity when analyzing repeat participation by the same investor.

Use Cases
- Build a round-aware investor-to-company edge table for a selected startup without collapsing repeat participation into a single transaction.
- Review participants in one identified funding round by combining company with the funding_round filter.
- Create a lead-investment research shortlist using lead_only=true while retaining unknown lead flags as unresolved data.
- Compare a company's documented seed and later-stage investment relationships through separate round_type searches without estimating missing contribution amounts.
Frequently asked questions
Does company mean the recipient company or an investor portfolio?
It identifies the company receiving the investments. Supply its organization permalink, UUID or full crunchbase.com/organization/ link. This endpoint is not documented as a general portfolio search for an investor.
How can I restrict results to one financing round?
Keep the required company and add funding_round with the permalink, UUID or full crunchbase.com/funding_round/ link for a round of that company. The separate round_type filter selects a financing category; precedence when both filters are combined is not documented.
Is lead_only a boolean parameter?
Its input type is string, with documented values true and false. The string true requests lead investments only. A null is_lead_investor in a response should remain unknown, not be converted to false.
Are investor contribution amounts and dates guaranteed?
No. In the unverified documentation example, amount_invested, round_amount and announced_on are null. Do not infer an investor contribution from the round total or interpret a missing date as a known transaction date.
How should repeated participation by one investor be represented?
Preserve each investment record and its funding_round identity. The same investor can be researched across different rounds, so deduplicating only by company and investor can erase distinct participation records.
How do I page through investments?
Use optional page values from 1 through 100; the documented default is 1. The supplied example includes count, current_page, items, next, per_page, previous and total_pages, but there is no live probe establishing complete history coverage or pagination behavior.
