Research a person's investments and exits

View all Crunchbase Company & Investment Data endpoints →

Research the documented investment history of an angel investor or investment partner. Supply person as a Crunchbase person permalink, UUID or person-profile URL. The optional integer page parameter defaults to 1 and supports values from 1 to 100. The endpoint is documented to cover personal investments, partner-attributed deals and exits, with 10 investment results per page. No endpoint-specific live response is available in the supplied evidence. The unverified documentation example is truncated, so it cannot establish the complete response schema. Its readable portion includes count, current_page, founded_companies_count, investments_count and investor_rank. An exits array contains organization references with id, image, link, name, short_description, type and uuid. The items array contains investment records with id, name, company and funding_round references. Company references contain id, image, link, name, type and uuid; funding_round references contain id, link, name, type and uuid. The readable investment records also contain amount_invested, announced_on, diversity_spotlights, investor, is_lead_investor, round_amount and round_type as null, plus a partners array that is empty in the readable portion. The example does not verify a separate partner-deals field or the remaining pagination fields. Keep personal investments distinct from partner-attributed deals when interpreting available records. A listed investment or exit does not prove a current holding, personal wealth, deal performance or willingness to invest today.

Use Cases

Frequently asked questions

How do I identify the person whose investments I want?

Provide a Crunchbase person permalink such as sam-altman, a person UUID or a crunchbase.com/person/ profile URL in the required person parameter. The endpoint is intended for researching an angel or investment partner, not for searching investors by display name.

How many investment results does a page contain?

The endpoint documentation specifies 10 investment results per page. The optional integer page parameter defaults to 1 and supports 1 through 100. Do not assume the separate exits list has the same pagination behavior; the supplied partial example does not establish that.

Does this include both personal investments and partner deals?

The documented scope includes personal investments, partner-attributed deals and exits. The readable example contains investment items and exits, but it is truncated and does not verify a dedicated partner-deals field. Do not treat all listed deals as personal holdings.

Can I rely on investment amounts, dates and lead-investor status?

No. In the readable portion of the unverified example, amount_invested, announced_on, round_amount, round_type and is_lead_investor are null. The partners array is empty there. These fields do not establish an amount, date, round classification or lead role for those records.

Has the full investments response been confirmed by a live probe?

No endpoint-specific live response is included. The documentation example is truncated; only its readable fields can be described, and neither a complete response schema nor full pagination metadata is verified.

Do listed exits show the investor’s current wealth or returns?

No. Exit organization references and investment counts do not establish current shareholdings, sale proceeds, deal performance, personal wealth or present willingness to invest.
