Get a User's Active Public Story
View All Snapchat Content API - Profiles, Stories, Spotlight & Lenses APIs →Return the public 24-hour Story that a Snapchat account currently has live. Pass a username (e.g. snoopdogg). When a Story is live, data holds the story object with its snaps and media URLs; when the account has no active Story the call still succeeds with {success:true, data:null}. Because Stories expire after 24 hours, results change throughout the day — check hasStory from Get Public Profile first if you want to avoid empty polls. A username that does not resolve returns HTTP 200 with success=false and data="data not found".
API Features
Live 24h Story only Returns the Story currently visible on the public profile, not archived content
Explicit empty state data=null with success=true means the account exists but has nothing live
Snap-level media Each snap in the Story carries its own media URLs for archiving or preview
No login or follow needed Reads only what the public web profile exposes
