Snapchat Content API - Profiles, Stories, Spotlight & Lenses APIs

Look up a public Snapchat profile by username and get its public identity card. Pass the handle without @ (e.g. brentrivera). The response is {success, data:{info, metadata}}: info carries username, title (display name), bio, subscriberCount (returned as a string), profilePictureUrl, snapcodeImageUrl, squareHeroImageUrl, hostUserId, businessProfileId, badge, websiteUrl, categoryStringId / subcategoryStringId, relatedAccountsInfo, and the boolean flags hasStory, hasCuratedHighlights and hasSpotlightHighlights that tell you which follow-up calls are worth making; metadata carries pageTitle, pageDescription, pageType and shareId. A username that does not resolve returns HTTP 200 with success=false and data="data not found".

Fetch everything public about a Snapchat account in a single request. Pass a username (e.g. therock). The response is {success, data:{profile, story, curatedHighlights, spotlightHighlights, lenses}}: profile contains the same info/metadata block as Get Public Profile (username, title, bio, subscriberCount, profilePictureUrl, snapcodeImageUrl, creationTimestampMs, lastUpdateTimestampMs, relatedAccountsInfo, flags), story is the active public Story object or null, and the three arrays list curated Highlight albums, Spotlight highlights and Lenses published by the account (empty arrays when the account has none). Accounts with no Spotlight highlights return an empty result; hasSpotlightHighlights on the profile tells you in advance. A username that does not resolve returns HTTP 200 with success=false and data="data not found".

List the public AR Lenses published by a Snapchat creator. Pass the creator's username (e.g. jsprinz). Returns {success, data} with the Lenses attributed to that account; each lens can be expanded with Get Lens Details by its lensId. Accounts that have not published Lenses return an empty result. A username that does not resolve returns HTTP 200 with success=false and data="data not found".

Resolve a Snapchat Spotlight share URL into full video metadata, engagement stats and media. Pass the complete spotlight_link (https://www.snapchat.com/spotlight/...). The response data contains metadata.engagementStats (viewCount, shareCount, commentCount, boostCount, recommendCount — returned as strings), metadata.videoMetadata (contentUrl video file, thumbnailUrl, durationMs, uploadDateMs, creator, name, description), AI-generated llmTitle / llmDescription / llmKeywords, hashtags, contextCards (creator and original sound), a deeplink, plus a story block with snapList (per-snap media URLs), storyId, storyType and thumbnailUrl, and upNextThumbnailUrl.

Pull the public comment thread under a Snapchat Spotlight video. Pass the complete spotlight_link (https://www.snapchat.com/spotlight/...). Returns {success, data} with the comments visible on the public Spotlight page — comment text and commenter details — ready for sentiment or moderation pipelines. Use Get Spotlight by Link on the same URL for the total commentCount.

Fetch the current public, unpersonalized Snapchat Spotlight discovery feed. No parameters are required. Returns {success, data} with the Spotlight videos currently surfaced on the public feed; individual entries can be expanded with Get Spotlight by Link. The feed rotates over time, so repeated calls are a good way to sample what is trending.

Resolve a public Snapchat Story share link into its snaps and media. Pass the full story_link in the form https://story.snapchat.com/p/{profileId}/{storyId}. Returns {success, data} with the Story object and its snap media URLs. Use this when you have a specific shared Story rather than a username; for whatever a user has live right now, use Get a User's Active Public Story.

Run a Snapchat public search for a keyword and get results grouped by surface. Pass keyword (e.g. music).
