LinkedIn Data API
Find LinkedIn jobs by keyword, location, remote-work preference and posting date. Enrich selected people and companies with available professional data for human-reviewed recruiting, CRM updates and dated hiring researchβnot an official LinkedIn integration or a complete archive.
Open the standalone LinkedIn data demoYour first LinkedIn job search
Replace <API_KEY> with your authorized platform API key from the dashboard. Request URLs contain the key; keep it out of shared links, screenshots, source control and logs, and make production requests server-side.
The read-only example calls search-jobs with keyword=software engineer, geocode=103644278 for the United States and page=1. It does not set remote or date_posted; choose those optional filters for a narrower search. No LinkedIn account credential is required by this request. Inspect business success and the returned records; current listings, populated fields and successful access are not guaranteed. Opening this page or copying an example does not send a data request.

console.log(await response.json());LinkedIn data request basics
- Keep identifier roles separate: select a person's public_identifier for username, then use the returned profile urn for section and activity reads. Resolve company or a public company slug through get-company-profile and reuse its id as company_id; job search instead names that company-ID filter company. Use returned job, post, comment, ad and group IDs only for their matching follow-up operations. A display name, full profile URL or guessed identifier is not interchangeable with these values.
- get-company-profile needs company or company_id even though both fields are individually optional. Supply one unambiguous selector and clear conflicting values; no precedence is assumed. search-ads similarly needs keyword or advertiser_name; country and date alone are insufficient. Its example keyword is data, so clear that default when you intend an advertiser-only search.
- HTTP 200 can accompany success:false and data:null, and HTTP 202 was also observed with business failures. Inspect gateway code/message/data, then the JSON operation's success, message and status_code before using records. Treat inaccessible profiles as unresolved, not confirmed absent. Bound retries and timeouts, back off on throttling or transient failures, and stop for input or access problems. Successful sampled searches and profile reads do not establish universal endpoint health or an update SLA.
- Use each endpoint's own continuation contract. Many lists use page with has_more; profile interest lists use hasMore. User activity feeds can return pagination_token for the public pagination_cursor input, and ad searches and reposts have their own token context. Replies require previous_replies_token from the matching parent comment as replies_cursor. These are result-continuation values, not account login credentials. Never invent tokens, mix threads or copy official API start/count parameters into page-based requests. Deduplicate IDs and cap collection; total does not guarantee every result is retrievable.
- Job searches and company jobs accept date_posted=anytime, past_month, past_week or past_24_hours, with sort_by=recent or relevant. Post search uses past_month, past_week or past_24h and sort_by=date_posted or relevance. Company posts use sort_by=top or recent. Ad search has a separate date vocabulary: last-30-days, current-month, current-year or last-year. Do not share one filter enum across these endpoints.
- Request only the optional sections you need: get-user-profile include_* flags and get-job-detail include_skills can increase request consumption, and using company_id for company-profile lookup can also change consumption. A returned cost value is response metadata, not a published marketplace price or a platform credit quote. Consult current platform pricing and retain your own request budget; extra consumption does not guarantee populated sections.
- This independent LinkedIn data API is not an official LinkedIn or partner integration. Coverage and accessibility vary; contact information can be null, associated employees can appear as LinkedIn Member with null identifiers, and salary or profile sections can be absent. Do not infer hidden data or convert missing values to zero. Use only authorized, lawful workflows, respect platform terms and privacy, and apply data minimization, access controls, retention and deletion rules. Profile assertions, counts and reactions are not verification, consent or automatic hiring decisions.
- Profile, company, post and ad media can include expiration metadata; URLs are not permanent archives or permission to download and redistribute. Retain source context and recheck availability as needed. save-user-profile-to-pdf documents a PDF document payload, not ordinary profile JSON or a guaranteed download URL. Validate the returned document before saving, obtain appropriate permission and protect exported personal data; a profile export does not independently verify a resume.
Check HTTP status and business success before using data
Check HTTP status separately from the gateway's code/message/data business status: code 200 indicates gateway business success, but HTTP 200 alone does not establish a usable result. For JSON operations, also inspect success, message and any status_code in the operation payload inside data before reading its own data. A profile lookup was observed with HTTP 200, success:false, data:null and status_code:403. An inaccessible profile is not a confirmed deletion; validate each operation's object, array or document result rather than treating missing data as empty success.
Choose a LinkedIn research workflow
- Match a named person and enrich the selected profile
-
search-people requires name; current_company, title and geocode_location narrow that name-based search rather than enabling title-only discovery. Review candidates, then send public_identifier as username to get-user-profile, contact, count or PDF reads. Use the profile's returned urn for about-profile. Contact fields can be absent, audience counts are not follower lists, and a PDF is not a verified resume.
- Resolve a company and inspect its available workforce context
-
Start with get-company-profile using company or company_id, then reuse data.id as company_id for associated people, affiliated pages and member insights. Associated people may be anonymized; profile employee counts are not audited payroll totals, showcase pages are not necessarily subsidiaries, and overlapping insight categories cannot be summed into headcount.
- Find remote vacancies and build dated employer snapshots
-
search-jobs requires keyword; resolve a location with search-location before setting geocode. Add remote, date_posted and sort_by filters, start at page=1 and follow returned has_more within a request cap. Pass a returned job id as job_id to get-job-detail. Employer feeds and counts require company_id from get-company-profile. Deduplicate listings; totals are not complete coverage, salary can be unavailable, and easy_apply never submits an application.
- Read only the professional sections your workflow needs
-
Resolve username with get-user-profile first; experience, education, skills, certifications, honors, publications, volunteering, recommendations and interest reads require the returned urn. Use endpoint-specific paging; recommendations distinguish received from given, and interest lists use hasMore. These are profile-listed records, not verified employment or qualifications. Minimize sensitive data and retain human review.
Get LinkedIn Work ExperienceGet LinkedIn Education HistoryGet LinkedIn Skills and Endorsement CountsGet LinkedIn Licenses and CertificationsGet LinkedIn Honors and AwardsGet LinkedIn Profile PublicationsGet LinkedIn Volunteer ExperienceGet LinkedIn Profile RecommendationsGet LinkedIn Company InterestsGet LinkedIn Group Interests - Research professional posts and available author activity
-
search-posts requires keyword; use a returned post id for get-post-detail. Company posts require company_id and sort_by=recent for newest-first research instead of the documented top default. User posts, comments, reactions, images and videos require a profile urn, and their continuation can use returned pagination_token through pagination_cursor. User comment activity is not a full post discussion; public counters are not impressions or built-in history.
- Keep comments, reply threads, reactions and reposts separate
-
Begin with post_id from the matching post result. get-post-comments accepts post_type and sort_order; additional replies require that post_id, the parent comment id as comment_id and its previous_replies_token as replies_cursor. Reactions use only the documented type options, while repost continuation can use pagination_cursor. Preserve parent relationships and do not interpret interaction records as outreach consent or buying intent.
- Compare ad-library creatives and advertiser messaging
-
search-ads needs keyword or advertiser_name; add supported country and date filters, and forward returned pagination_token as pagination_cursor. Use a selected ad id as ad_id for get-ad-detail, keeping advertiser, publisher and paid_for_by roles distinct. This is creative research, not spend, reach, targeting or conversion reporting.
- Inspect a known group and its available discussions
-
Both group metadata and group posts require group_id already known to your application or selected from an appropriately obtained group-interest record. Use optional page for discussions. A group ID, member count or is_public flag does not grant membership, posting permission or access to private content; attachments and historical coverage can be incomplete.
- Resolve location, school and industry filters before searching
-
Supply a human-readable keyword to search-location, search-schools or search-suggestion-industry and review the matching record. Send a selected geocode as geocode for jobs or geocode_location for people, a school id as school, and industry_id as industry for people or industry_ids for jobs. School lookup supports page; do not invent pagination for location or industry suggestions.
People & profiles
/api/project/linkedin-scraper/search-people Search LinkedIn People by Name
Full docs βDetails
Search by the required name keyword, then narrow matches with current_company, past_company, title, geocode_location, school, industry or profile_language. Company, location and several other filters accept comma-separated IDs. A successful live response returned data records with id, urn, public_identifier, full_name, title, location, url, avatar and profile flags, plus page, total and has_more. Use the returned public_identifier for a profile lookup; a name match alone does not establish identity.

/api/project/linkedin-scraper/get-user-profile Get LinkedIn Profile by Username
Full docs βDetails
Pass the public username from a LinkedIn /in/ profile URL, not the entire URL or display name. A successful live lookup returned data.id, urn, public_identifier, full_name, headline, location, avatar, cover, profile flags, website and locale fields. Optional include_* booleans request additional sections and can increase request consumption. An inaccessible or nonexistent profile was observed with HTTP 200, success:false, data:null and status_code:403; early HTTP 202 responses also carried business failures. Check success and message before using data.

Full docs βDetails
Pass a public username to read available professional contact information. The documented data object contains first_name, last_name, public_identifier, urn, email, phone_numbers, websites, twitter, address and wechat; some values are null or empty arrays. Availability varies, and a returned email is not evidence that it is verified or that its owner consented to outreach. The documented data object contains joined, profile_photo and contact_information as human-readable date or recency strings. This is the About this profile surface, not biography text or proof of identity. Values may use relative wording and should be retained as returned rather than converted into unsupported precise timestamps.

/api/project/linkedin-scraper/save-user-profile-to-pdf Retrieve LinkedIn Profile as PDF
Full docs βDetails
Supply username to retrieve a profile PDF for an authorized review workflow. The documented successful response is a PDF document beginning with %PDF, not the usual JSON success/data object. Handle the returned document payload as a file rather than assuming profile fields can be parsed from JSON. The documentation sample establishes a document response, not universal download availability or a guarantee that every current profile section appears in the export.

The successful Google lookup returned data.id, name, universal_name, description, linkedin_url, website_url, active, employee_count, employee_count_range, follower_count, headquarter, locations, industries, specialities, logo and cover. Counts describe reported profile data, not verified payroll headcount. Using company_id can increase request consumption; inspect business success when a lookup is throttled or inaccessible.

LinkedIn search and enrichment capabilities
Search available professional people, companies and jobs, then retrieve structured LinkedIn data for permission-based research and enrichment. This is a third-party data API, not an official LinkedIn integration.
- People and profile enrichment: resolve names to public usernames, read profile identity and select the professional sections you need
- Company research: descriptions, locations, reported workforce counts, affiliated pages and available associated-member insights
- Job discovery: keyword and location search with remote-work, posting-date and seniority filters, plus employer feeds and job details
- Professional content: available posts, comments, replies, reactions, reposts and group discussions
- Advertising research: ad-library previews and selected creative, advertiser and payer details
Built for CRM enrichment, recruiter-assisted research, job discovery and B2B content review. Coverage varies, contact fields and sections can be missing, employee summaries can be anonymized, and media links can expire. Check business-level success as well as HTTP status, use endpoint-specific pagination, and apply appropriate privacy, permission, retention and deletion controls. Successful samples confirm selected searches and profile reads, not universal endpoint availability or a freshness guarantee.
