Search LinkedIn Posts by Keyword

View all LinkedIn Data API endpoints →

Use a required keyword with optional page, sort_by, date_posted, content_type, from_company and from_member. The documented data records include id, title, url, created_at, author and activity counts, plus page, total and has_more. Post date values use past_24h, unlike the past_24_hours value for job searches. Retrieve a selected post separately when fuller text or attachment details are needed.

API Features

Topic-led post discovery keyword finds available discussion summaries rather than requiring a known post ID.
Content-format filtering Documented formats include videos, photos, jobs, live_videos, documents and collaborative_articles.
Author-scope restrictions from_company and from_member accept comma-separated author filters.
Post-specific date vocabulary Use past_24h for the shortest post window and date_posted or relevance for sorting.

Use Cases

Frequently asked questions

Is the 24-hour filter the same as job search?

No. For posts use date_posted=past_24h. Job search documents past_24_hours. Keep each endpoint's option values separate.

Does a search row contain the full post?

Not necessarily. The documented search sample provides title, source URL, author and activity context. Use get-post-detail for the selected post's longer content and attachments when available.
