List an event's participants by role
View all Crunchbase Company & Investment Data endpoints →Retrieve the speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, contestants and organizers associated with a Crunchbase event. The required event parameter accepts an event permalink, UUID or crunchbase.com/event/ URL. The optional page parameter selects a page from 1 through 100 and defaults to 1. The optional role parameter restricts the results to sponsor, speaker, exhibitor, contestant or organizer; omit it to leave the role filter unset. The documentation example, which has not been independently verified for this endpoint, contains count, current_page, per_page, total_pages, next, previous, role, event and items. The top-level event object contains id and uuid. Each items entry includes id, role, event_starts_on, event_location, short_description, an event object and a participant object. The nested event object contains id, uuid, name, type and link; the participant object contains id, uuid, name, type, link and image. Example participants include both people and organizations. event_location, short_description, next, previous and the top-level role can be null. Treat these as documented example fields rather than a guaranteed response schema. Use this endpoint for reported event-role relationships, not as proof of attendance or a source of participant contact details. Follow the returned pagination metadata when reviewing more than one page.

Use Cases
- Build separate speaker and exhibitor research lists for a selected technology conference without mixing their event roles.
- Compare reported sponsors across selected events to inform a partnership team's conference landscape review.
- Review an event's contestants as a starting point for competition research, distinguishing people from organizations where documented entity types are available.
- Map the organizers associated with a conference and retain event identifiers and page context for later source review.
Frequently asked questions
What can I pass as the event parameter?
Use a Crunchbase event permalink such as microsoft-build-2024, an event UUID or a crunchbase.com/event/ URL. The event parameter is required.
How do I request only speakers or sponsors?
Set role to speaker or sponsor. The other documented values are exhibitor, contestant and organizer. Omit role to leave the role filter unset.
Which participant pages can I request?
The documented page range is 1 through 100, with page 1 used by default. The documentation example includes pagination fields such as total_pages, next and previous; their values should guide any subsequent requests.
Are these records a complete attendee directory with contact details?
No complete attendee or contact-information contract is documented. This endpoint covers speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, contestants and organizers. The example describes participant identities, profile links and roles rather than email addresses or phone numbers.
Have the participant response fields been verified?
No successful response was observed for this endpoint in the supplied evidence. The described fields come from a documentation example, including nullable location and description fields, and should not be treated as a verified schema.
