List a company's investors and funding-round relationships

View all Crunchbase Company & Investment Data endpoints →

Retrieve documented investor relationships for a company identified by a Crunchbase permalink, UUID or organization URL. The optional page parameter defaults to 1 and accepts integers from 1 to 100; results are documented as 10 items per page. Use this endpoint for backer-and-round research, not as proof that an investor is currently deploying capital. The documented response example has not been confirmed by an endpoint-specific live probe. Its top-level company object contains id, uuid, name, type, link and image. Pagination fields are count, current_page, per_page, total_pages, next and previous; investors_count and lead_investors_count provide additional reported counts. The items array represents investor relationships with id, name, investor, funding_round, is_lead_investor and partners. Investor objects contain id, uuid, name, type, link and image; funding_round and partner objects contain id, uuid, name, type and link. Preserve the round relationship when comparing backers rather than assuming each row is a distinct investor. In the documented example, is_lead_investor can be null, and amount_invested, announced_on, company, diversity_spotlights, round_amount and round_type are null on the supplied relationship records. These fields must not be treated as populated financial or date data. Partner information is an array and should be used only where supplied. Counts, coverage and field availability are not independently verified for this endpoint.

API Features

Backer-to-round relationship records Examine documented investor and funding_round objects together so an investor's association remains tied to the relevant company funding round.
Nullable lead-investor indicators Retain is_lead_investor alongside each relationship; a null indicator in the documented example does not mean the investor was not a lead.
Partner identities alongside backers Use available partners arrays for named-partner context, with documented identity fields such as id, uuid, name, type and link.
Ten-item investor pagination Request pages 1 through 100 using the documented 10-item page size and retain the example's count and navigation metadata.
Financial-data availability boundaries Recognize that amount_invested, round_amount, round_type and announced_on are null in the supplied example instead of interpreting missing values as zero or known terms.

Use Cases

Frequently asked questions

How do I identify the company whose investors I want?

Set company to a Crunchbase permalink such as openai, a company UUID or a full Crunchbase organization URL. The company parameter is required.

How does pagination work for company investors?

The optional page parameter defaults to 1 and accepts integers from 1 to 100. The endpoint is documented as returning 10 items per page. The unverified response example includes current_page, per_page, total_pages, next and previous.

Is every returned item a different investor?

Treat items as investor relationships linked to funding rounds rather than assuming every row is a unique backer. For overlap analysis, compare investor identifiers and preserve funding_round separately.

Does a missing lead-investor flag mean false?

No. The documented example includes both boolean and null is_lead_investor values. Keep unknown lead status distinct from a confirmed false value.

Can I rely on investment amounts, dates and partner details being present?

No. The supplied example has null amount_invested, round_amount, round_type and announced_on fields. Use partner identities only when present in partners; do not invent missing terms or people.

Does appearing as a backer mean an investor is active now?

No. A recorded company-investor relationship is not evidence of current fund activity. This endpoint's documented example has not been independently live-verified, and complete investor coverage is not established.
