Get Accounts Included in a List

View all X (Twitter) Public Data API endpoints →

Pass required list_id for a known public X List to retrieve its available member accounts. Members are the accounts curated into the List, not the people who subscribe to it; use list-followers for subscribers. Optional cursor continues the member collection. Member profile fields, pagination output and unavailable-List behavior have not been live-verified, so validate returned identifiers before directory enrichment. Snapshot dates and collected coverage must accompany any membership-change claims.

API Features

Curated member-account roster This endpoint targets accounts included in the selected List rather than its subscriber audience.
Member-list identifier selection Required list_id supplies the public List key without needing an individual member's username.
Roster continuation parameter cursor can continue available member pages once the endpoint's output pagination schema is validated.
Membership snapshot framing Dated collection records support observed roster comparisons, but a missing record alone does not prove removal.

Use Cases

Frequently asked questions

Are List members the same as List followers?

No. Members are accounts curated into a List; followers are accounts subscribed to it. list-members requires list_id and declares optional cursor. Use list-followers when you need the subscriber audience.

How can I compare List membership across snapshots?

First validate member IDs, profile fields and continuation keys, which have not been live-verified. Store snapshot dates and collected coverage, then compare validated identifiers. A missing collected member alone does not prove removal.
