Check Whether an Account Recently Reposted a Tweet

View all X (Twitter) Public Data API endpoints →

Send required tweet_id for the public post and screenname for the account to check. The described result concerns recent repost activity and may not cover older reposts. Exact status or boolean field names and missing-account or missing-post behavior have not been live-verified. Validate a known public case before depending on the result; a negative check cannot rule out an older repost or prove nonparticipation. This read does not publish a repost, modify the account or measure every form of engagement.

API Features

Post-and-handle check inputs tweet_id and screenname select the public post and the specific account whose recent repost participation is checked.
Recent-repost evidence The documented use is bounded to recent activity; it is not an account's full historical repost ledger.
Older-repost negative limitation An older repost may not be covered, so a negative check must not automatically disqualify campaign participation.
Check rather than repost action The endpoint requests evidence about public activity and cannot create a repost on behalf of the supplied handle.

Frequently asked questions

What inputs check whether an account reposted a tweet?

Provide required tweet_id and screenname for the public post and account. Validate the exact result fields against a known public case before relying on the recent-repost check; no mutation or publishing occurs.

Can this check rule out an older repost?

No. Older repost activity may be outside the documented recent coverage. A negative result cannot prove nonparticipation or automatically disqualify a contributor, and missing-account or missing-post behavior remains unverified.
