Inspect a Selected Flight Itinerary
View all Skyscanner Flights & Travel Search endpoints →Request the documented detail view for a selected itinerary using its itineraryId and the associated flight search's session token as sessionId. Use an itinerary returned by your own search and retain that search's currency and countryCode. This operation is intended to expose itinerary details and booking options; its response structure has not been independently verified, so do not assume baggage, fare rules, seller coverage or any named detail field will be present. Inspect returned content before presenting it, and handle unavailable or expired search context by starting a new search rather than constructing IDs. This is a read-only offer lookup, not a payment or ticketing endpoint.

Use Cases
- Open a read-only detail panel when a traveler deliberately selects an itinerary from a search shortlist.
- Compare returned booking options for a single itinerary without interpreting the response as a confirmed reservation.
- Check which descriptive attributes are actually available before including baggage or fare-condition information in a selected-offer view.
- Replace an unavailable shortlisted itinerary with a newly searched alternative while keeping the old observation timestamp for context.
Frequently asked questions
Where do itineraryId and sessionId come from, and can searches be mixed?
Take itineraryId from the selected itinerary and use sessionToken from that same search as sessionId, retaining its currency and countryCode. Do not mix unrelated searches or guess identifiers. If the context is missing or unavailable, repeat the route search.
Are baggage allowances and fare rules guaranteed, and does a detail lookup book the flight?
No. The actual detail fields and seller coverage have not been independently verified; display only information present in the returned payload. Inspecting details does not lock a price or seat and cannot process payment, issue a ticket or create a reservation.
