Get Replies Posted by an Account

View all X (Twitter) Public Data API endpoints →

Pass required screenname to request the public replies authored by that account. Optional cursor continues the available account-reply collection; keep the handle unchanged between pages. This is different from latest-replies, which targets replies to one supplied post. Exact reply fields, continuation response keys and empty or unavailable-account shapes have not been live-verified. Treat returned replies as observed conversational activity, not a complete interaction history or private messages.

API Features

Author-selected reply collection screenname identifies the author of the replies being requested rather than the root post being discussed.
Outgoing conversation focus The described collection supports studying an account's own public responses separately from its ordinary timeline.
Account-reply cursor input An optional cursor is available for continuation; verify the returned pagination shape before building a collector.
Public-response coverage boundary The endpoint does not provide private messages or evidence of every conversation an account has participated in.

Frequently asked questions

Does user-replies return replies by an account or replies to its posts?

Required screenname selects the account that authored the replies. To inspect responses to one post, use latest-replies with that post's id instead. This endpoint does not expose private messages.

How should I implement pagination for authored replies?

An optional cursor input is declared; keep screenname unchanged across requests. Reply fields, output cursor keys and unavailable-account behavior have not been live-verified, so validate them before building a strict collector.
