Redfin Estimate (Automated Valuation)
View all Redfin Property Data endpoints →The Redfin Estimate automated valuation for a property, keyed by the propertyId/listingId pair from any search response (homeData) or a v2-details lookup. Use it as a model-based reference value alongside live asking prices from search and closed comps from the sold endpoints: the estimate answers 'what does the model think it is worth', which neither an asking price nor a stale sale price can.

Use Cases
- Build an AVM comparison tool benchmarking the estimate against other valuations and sold comps.
- Track portfolio home values monthly by re-pulling estimates for held addresses.
- Run pre-offer pricing checks to flag listings priced far above the model estimate.
- Backtest estimate accuracy against eventual closed prices from sold search.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a value estimate for a US address?
Resolve the address through the v2 detail endpoint or the address summary endpoint to get the propertyId/listingId pair, then pass both here for the model estimate. The estimate is a model reference value, not the asking or sold price.
How often is the estimate updated?
It is a dynamic model output — re-pull it periodically and record timestamps; do not base long-term decisions on a single snapshot.
Which IDs are required?
The propertyId and listingId pair from the same listing context, taken from a search result row or a v2 detail response.
