Search Facebook Pages

Enter query to discover Page candidates; location_uid and cursor are optional documented inputs. A NASA query returned results with name, facebook_id, url, profile_url, type, is_verified and an image object containing uri and dimensions, plus a cursor string. Verify candidate identity before using a search result as the intended organization. A deliberately nonexistent query returned exactly results=[] and cursor=null: an empty search is a valid outcome, not automatically an outage. Reuse a returned non-null cursor unchanged; location filtering and continuation were not exercised in the samples.

API Features

Organization candidate discovery The sampled NASA search includes the official organization and related Pages, not only a single exact match.
Search-specific identity keys Page search exposes facebook_id and is_verified; Page details uses page_id and verified instead.
Thumbnail dimensions Observed image objects include uri, width, height and scale for candidate previews.
Legitimate no-results shape The tested random term produced an empty results array and an explicit null cursor.

Use Cases

Frequently asked questions

Does an empty Page keyword search always mean an error?

No. A tested query with no matches returned results=[] and cursor=null normally. Assess the outcome using both the HTTP and business status.

Can I treat facebook_id as the Page-details field name?

Do not confuse the field contracts. Search returns facebook_id, while Page details uses page_id. Preserve the original fields and verify the corresponding entity.

Does finding a Page with the same name identify the intended brand?

No. Manually check the URL, name, verification status and other public context before selecting the Page to collect.
